The original hardwood flooring is of really good quality and in great condition (this house is barely lived in), but it also have a very intense red, which is a very traditional style that’s really hard to work with in modern days living. We used the large scale rug to transit and tie in the colours in the space, between the pre-existing materials, and the new marble wall, curtain, and furniture.
